Job Description

We are seeking a Tandem Extrusion Laminating Machine Operator to operate and monitor a high-capacity extrusion laminating production line. This position is responsible for setting up machinery according to production orders, controlling product quality, and ensuring stable and safe production operations.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Machine Operation & Setup

• Set up and operate the Tandem Extrusion Laminating Machine according to production orders.
• Prepare and supply raw materials such as BOPP, PET, CPP, Nylon, paper, aluminum foil, and PE resin.
• Adjust machine parameters including line speed, web tension, heating zone temperatures, nip pressure, and extrusion output.
• Operate the turret unwinder/rewinder system and perform smooth roll splicing.

Quality Control

• Monitor product quality throughout the production process.
• Identify and address common defects such as film wrinkles, delamination, thickness variation, or surface defects.
• Take product samples and perform basic quality checks according to internal QC procedures.
• Record production data and machine settings.

Operation of Supporting Systems

• Monitor the corona treatment system and the automatic thickness measurement system.
• Report abnormal parameters to supervisors or the maintenance team.

Safety & Basic Maintenance

• Follow safety regulations while operating machinery.
• Perform basic cleaning and maintenance tasks such as roller cleaning, filter checks, compressed air inspection, and cooling system checks.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Candidate Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Technical or vocational training is an advantage.

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience operating extrusion laminating machines or similar equipment.
• Experience in the flexible packaging industry is preferred.

Skills

• Basic understanding of extrusion lamination processes and film handling.
• Ability to operate machine control systems through HMI / touchscreen interfaces.
• Ability to use a computer for basic office tasks, including creating documents, using Microsoft Excel, and other required software tools.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on product quality.
• Able to work shifts when required.
